Minnesota Historical and Cultural Heritage Grants

Mid/Large Grants Round Update
The Grants Office emailed applicants to the FY 2013 MHCHG mid/large grants round with pre-application comments this week--project directors, check your email for reviewer feedback! A pdf copy of the reviewer comments is also appended to your grant application under the Request Documents section.

If you have questions concerning the reviewer notes, please contact the reviewer listed in your letter. Keep in mind that final applications are due by midnight, Friday July 27, 2012. Grants staff will be available until 5 p.m. that day for assistance. Don't procrastinate!

Spotlighted Project: Jacob Schmidt Brewing Company Historic District NR Nomination

Recipient: Saint Paul Historic Preservation Commission

Funding Amount: $7,000

Project Details

The St. Paul Historic Preservation Commission hired a qualified consultant to complete the local Historic Preservation Site Designation form for the Jacob Schmidt Brewing Company Historic District.

Field Note

Firefighters Hall and Museum, Minneapolis MN, opened a new exhibit June 30, 2012. "81 Minutes" is a traveling exhibit about emergency response to the I-35W bridge collapse in August 2007. Firefighters Hall and Museum received funding from the Minnesota Historical and Cultural Heritage Grants program to help assemble historical resources.
