Disaster Response and Recovery

Recent severe rainfall and wind have spread damage across many parts of the state. Gov. Mark Dayton announced that there will be a Special Session of the Legislature to address the approximate $108 million in damage across 13 counties and the Fond du lac Reservation.

If you know of historical resources damaged in the storms, please contact Barbara Howard, deputy state historic preservation officer, with details and estimated costs.

Check out the Minnesota Historical Society's Disaster Response and Recovery webpage for helpful tips and technical information to save history treasures.
