Regional collaborations can bring together many people to promote greater efficiency for finite resources to produce greater opportunities for the public. Minnesota's Historic Northwest is one such example and likely one of the best examples nationally. MHN annually plans for traveling exhibits that tour its region - the 2013 exhibit on the history of women in the region began planning more than a year ago. Together MHN has explored common marketing strategies that improve audience reach for its members.
Above, Minnesota's Historic Northwest met on February 5, 2013, to conduct its annual business meeting. More than 30 colleagues from 13 northwestern counties gathered in Crookston to elect its officers, set its budget, finalize details for 2013, plan for 2014, and discuss progress. The thorough level of intentionality that the members of MHN put into their projects is a wonderful example of what can be achieved by mostly all-volunteer organizations. Well done! |
