Locally Lush (1 new message) Humble Minnesotans can take a lot of pride in their local historical organizations' accomplishments. American Association for State and Local History has recognized about a half dozen projects from Minnesota each year for the last five years. What projects have you completed from which others might learn?

Anoka County Historical Society seeks farms in Anoka County that have been in family ownership for 100 years. Applications due July 8, 2009.

Field Note

Many organizations preserve historic vehicles, but not many have adopted axle jacks to take pressure away from the wheel and its hub. Several organizations have reported that axle jacks are a fairly easy project for skilled volunteers to make, and will help preserve their vehicles for many generations to enjoy.
