Arts and Cultural Heritage Fund Seeks Nominees
Minnesota State Legislature gave responsibility to the Minnesota State Arts Board, Minnesota Historical Society, and Minnesota Humanities Center to lead a process developing a "10-year plan and a 25-year framework for the use of the money" available in the Arts and Cultural Heritage Fund. Representatives from various other organizations are invited to join this effort. View the selection criteria and nominate a deserving individual today! Nominations due September 15, 2009.

Institute of Museum and Library Services and Bank of America Charitable Foundation are partnering in a grant program. Goodhue County Historical Society celebrates its 140th anniversary with an Age of Style Gala on September 26, 2009. Although they are looking back over 140 years, they still collect in the present. Recording history as it happens allows organizations to collect accurate records of their communities.
