Fast Track Grants The last Fast Track grant deadline for FY 2010 will be Friday February 26, 2010. Grant rounds are expected to resume with a May 28, 2010 deadline for FY 2011. Contact the Grants Office with questions.
New Workshops Offered "Writing a Better Grant Application" is a new workshop being offered by the Grants Office staff. Learn to write strong project descriptions, establish compelling need and rationale, craft meaningful measurable outcomes, and articulate enduring value and sustainability in order to increase your project’s competitiveness.
Thanks to MINITEX we will again be able to offer a webinar (sit in the comfort of your office and participate via your computer), or come to a workshop in person.
- Webinar: Friday February 12, 10 a.m. Register by February 10.
- In-person workshop: Wednesday February 17, 9 a.m. at the Hormel Historic Home in Austin. Register by February 15.
- In-person workshop: Friday February 26, 10 a.m. at Lake of the Woods School, 1 mile west of Baudette on Highway 11. Register by February 22. Refreshments available for $5 per person.
The workshops are about an hour long, with time afterwards to discuss your project(s) one-on-one with grants staff. Be sure to bring details of your project. Register by e-mailing the Grants Office.

National Trust Seeks Nominations Each year, the National Trust for Historic Preservation celebrates the best of preservation by presenting National Preservation Awards to individuals and organizations whose contributions demonstrate excellence in historic preservation. Deadline for all award categories is March 1, 2010. Nomination brochure available online.
AASLH Awards American Association for State and Local History 2010 Leadership in History awards are due March 1, 2010 to the State Team Leader.
