Ten years ago, Wisconsin Historical Society experienced a significant theft of objects from its Native American and ethnographic collections. Although they are working with Antiques Roadshow to publicize the theft and track down the missing items, only about 10 percent of the artifacts have been recovered.

Theft is a major concern for museums and historical societies. Read today's blog about various ways to deter thieves from casing your organization. You don't necessarily need high-tech, expensive devices; sometimes very simple solutions can do the trick.
