Legacy Amendment Update

Mid- and Large Size Grants Round
Minnesota Historical and Cultural Grants program is holding one grant round for mid- and large size grant proposals this spring. Pre-applications were due March 8, but applicants can still submit proposals for the final deadline, Monday April 12, 2010. This will be the only grant round this year for projects budgeted at $7,001 and up.

Small Grants Round
Small, or Fast Track, grants will be available again in late spring, with the next deadline set for Friday May 28, 2010. Grants Office staff expect to hold several grants rounds through the summer and early fall before funding is exhausted.

Grants Office staff is available to assist you with project and application questions.

Grant applications cannot be accepted via fax or email. Please use the Drop Box, or if you do not have internet access, send via U.S. Mail. Grant applications must be complete--proposals missing information will not be considered by the reviewers or Historic Resources Advisory Committee (HRAC). Please contact the with questions.

Dakota Roots Talk

MN on the Map

The pieces are coming together! A new traveling exhibit, Minnesota on the Map, will be making its way around the state beginning this fall. With topics selected by local venues through a survey last fall, this first in a series of traveling exhibits, funded by the Arts and Cultural Heritage Fund, explores regions of our state through a variety of maps, old and new. 

Clearwater County Historical Society is beta-testing the exhibit beginning this month. For more information on the MHS traveling exhibits, contact , exhibit developer.
