Arts & Cultural Heritage Fund Celebration Minnesota Association of Museums invites museum professionals to the "Summit at Summit (Brewery)" (Summit Brewery) on June 3, 2010, 6 to 9 p.m. for an Arts and Cultural Heritage Fund Celebration. Listen to brief presentations by representatives of funding agencies, followed by a moderated discussion and hors d'oeuvres. MAM members free, non-members $10. Registration required.

Ghosts of Anoka Tours The Ghosts of Anoka Tours, offered by the Anoka County Historical Society, will be offered the first and third Thursdays and Saturdays in June. All tours begin at the Anoka County History Center at 7:30 p.m. Tickets are $7 for adults and $5 for children. Contact Maria King at 763-421-0600 for tickets.
Ellis Island Portraits Exhibit The Historical & Cultural Society of Clay County at the Hjemkomst Center welcomes the traveling exhibit, "Augustus Frederick Sherman: Ellis Island Portraits, 1905-1920," from June 4 through September 12, 2010. Sherman, an immigration agent, captured images of new immigrants entering the United States through Ellis Island. Admission charged. Call 218-299-5511 for more information.

Museum Re-Dedication The Grant County Historical Society in Elbow Lake MN will celebrate the 50th anniversary of its museum with a re-dedication program on Saturday June 12, 2010 at 1 p.m. The program, featuring speaker David Grabitske, will be held at the Sanford Room at the Elbow Lake Community Building. Free Admission to Dakota County Historical Society The Dakota County Historical Society in South St. Paul MN will participate in Blue Star Museums, a national partnership to offer free admission to all active duty military personnel and their families from Memorial Day to Labor Day 2010.
