Carver County Historical Society and Chanhassen Dinner Theatres offer a Magical History Day Tour on Saturday August 28, 2010. Tour the new CCHS exhibit, then travel to Chanhassen Dinner Theatres for a backstage tour, visit with the actors, and dinner show "All Shook Up." Unpredictable Minnesota spring weather is upon us, and tornado season is here. A powerful tornado struck Wadena last week, but thankfully our colleagues at the Wadena County Historical Society report that they did not sustain damage. Several local historical organizations are assisting WCHS with clean up.

If your organization hasn't already developed a disaster plan, now is the time! Check the MHS website for disaster response and recovery resources. Minnesota Historical and Cultural Grants program offers a structured grant to develop a disaster plan. Fast Track grants funding is still available!
