Fast Track Grants Deadline The next Fast Track (small) grants deadline is Friday July 30, 2010. Limited funds remain. Do you have a small project in mind that could be completed by June 30, 2011? Submit your application now! Contact the Grants Office with questions.

Minnesota Preservation Awards Nominations are now being accepted for the 2010 Minnesota Preservation Awards, a program run by the Preservation Alliance of Minnesota. Nomination forms available online. Deadline: July 21, 2010.
Dozen Distinctive Destinations Celebrate places that matter by nominating unique cities and towns across America that offer cultural and recreational experiences different from the typical vacation destination. A People's History of the Hmong by Paul Hillmer, published by MHS Press, is a 2010 American Association for State and Local History Award of Merit winner. It also was selected as a WOW Award winner, given by the AASLH Awards Committee to exceptional projects.
Although the next submission deadline for AASLH Awards won't be until March 1, 2011, start thinking now about the exceptional things your organization and staff/volunteers do. Cultivate those projects now so you can be ready to fill out the nomination form next spring! Contact AASLH state representative Melinda Hutchinson with questions. |
