Fast Track Deadline
The final days of Legacy-funded grants from the Minnesota Historical Society are now. There is enough money for a Fast Track grant deadline (proposals $7,000 and less) on Friday September 24, 2010. All projects must be completed by June 30, 2011. Contact the Grants Office with questions. Hurry, get your projects in soon.

Traveling Exhibit
Apply now to host a traveling exhibit from the Minnesota Historical Society. Many saw a sample of the exhibit at the Minnesota State Fair, now you can apply to host one. Applications are due October 1, 2010. Upload applications electronically, just like applying for grants.

Remembering with Dignity
Nicollet County Historical Society hosts Remembering with Dignity, a nonprofit that has been working to identify and mark graves of State Hospital patients. Between 1866 and 1997, nearly 13,000 Minnesotans living in state institutions were buried in anonymous graves. Come to the Treaty Site History Center on September 11, 2010, 12:30 to 4 p.m., for an exhibit and interactive experience.

Tom Vardon Golf Open
Washington County Historical Society will hold a "back to the '20s" golf event fundraiser at White Bear Yacht Club on Monday September 13, 2010, 6 to 10 p.m. Participants welcome to come dressed as their favorite 1920s personality.
