Disaster Recovery

Photo by Bob King, Duluth News Tribune

The last few weeks of rain have been hard on Minnesota. Governor Dayton declared a state of emergency in 35 counties and the State Emergency Operations Center is in full activation. If your home or business has received substantial damage, be sure to let your county emergency management office know. These offices gather information on disaster damage to help determine whether or not federal assistance is requested. Find out more at the Minnesota Disaster Response and Recovery webpage.

Don't forget, the Minnesota Historical Society also has information on disaster recovery. If you know of any historic resources that have been damaged in your community, be sure to let us know.
