Civil War Soldier Recognition
The Governor's Civil War Commemoration Task Force and Nicollet County Historical Society, St. Peter MN, will host a remembrance event at Greenhill Cemetery that will include commemoration ceremonies honoring Nicollet County's Asgrim Skaro, Captain in the 9th Minnesota Infantry, Company D, on Saturday July 19, 2014, 10 a.m. Captain Skaro lost his life at the Battle of Nashville, December 16, 1864.
