Minnesota Historical and Cultural Heritage Grants

 

Grants Workshops

In anticipation of legislative funding for the next biennium, the Grants Office has scheduled several Minnesota Historical & Cultural Heritage Grants training sessions this spring:  

  • May 14 Anoka County at Bunker Hills Activity Center (9:00-12:00)
  • May 15 Stearns County History Museum, St. Cloud (9:00-12:00)
  • May 16 SMSU Student Center, Marshall (9:00-12:00)
  • May 21 Washington County Historic Courthouse, Stillwater (9:00-12:00)
  • May 23 Crawford Room, Olmsted County Museum, Rochester (9:00-12:00)
  • June 5 Bemidji Depot (9:00-12:00)
  • June 6 Duluth Veterans' Hall/Depot (9:00-12:00)
  • June 6 Historic Fort Snelling (1:00-4:00)
  • June 11 Wayzata Depot (9:00-12:00)
  • June 20-21 Minnesota Alliance of Local History Museums Conference at the Pine County History Museum, Askov

 

Spotlighted Project: Reads Landing Schoolhouse: Fire Safety and Mitigation Equipment
 

Funding Amount: $4,920

Recipient: Wabasha County Historical Society

To mitigate the risk of fire in the Reads Landing School, which is listed in the National Register of Historic Places, by repairing deteriorating wiring and electrical outlets, installing smoke detectors and purchasing and mounting fire extinguishers throughout the building.
