Minnesota Historical & Cultural Heritage Grants
Spotlighted Project: Digital conversion and publication of past presentations, outreach, and interviews
The project digitally converted 44 VHS tapes of past presentations by Minnesota veterans describing their time in service, produced an educational DVD for use in schools, and conducted, recorded, and published 5 oral history interviews of Eighth Air Force Historical Society of Minnesota veterans who could not give a public presentation but want their service and experiences during World War II to be recorded and preserved.
The digital conversion of the VHS tapes will preserve for the future the stories of many Minnesota veterans who have already passed away.
