In our ongoing commitment to share the stories of Minnesota’s Greatest Generation with Minnesotans across the state and around the world, we have posted the five award-winning films from our 2006 “Moving Pictures” Film Festival on our Share Your Story website.

Inspired by these remarkable stories?  Share them with your family and friends.  Have an inspiring story of your own, or a loved one, to tell?  Register for the 2007 Festival (and your chance at $10,000 in cash awards).

With the new-year, past collaborations will continue and new ones will be developed.  Metro area libraries hosted more than a dozen screenings of selected short films in November 2006.  Further collaboration with libraries and MELSA is being developed for later this year.

Not so long ago, 'going out' meant dressing up. Men wore jackets, ties and hats. Women wore dresses, gloves, hats, jewelry and matching purses. Tablecloths, cocktails, music and dancing were "de rigeur."

Retrorama celebrates the era that invented modern ‘class.’ As you sip your martinis and highballs, we’ll invite you to sway to classic tunes by The New Standards, and enjoy a fashion show featuring contemporary designs inspired by vintage silhouettes.
