Records of three northern transcontinental railway systems headquartered in the Twin Cities (Northern Pacific Railway Company, Great Northern Railway Company, and Soo Line Railroad Company) and of a regional carrier (Duluth, Missabe and Iron Range Railway Company) serving the northeastern Minnesota iron ranges.

Jefferson Transportation Company records, 1883-1996

Records relating to a Minneapolis-based Midwestern bus company.

Burma-Vita Company records, 1949-1954

This material is primarily related to the promotion of the Burma-Shave road sign jingle contests and sales of the product to druggists.

Northwest Airlines corporate records, 1917-1998

Financial records, photographs, and subject files of a St. Paul-based commercial airline.

Republic Airlines record, 1940-1986

Corporate records and subject files related to Republic Airlines (1979-1986) and its predecessor and acquired lines, including North Central Airlines (1952-1979) and its predecessor, Wisconsin Central Airlines (ca. 1940s-1952); Southern Airways (ca. 1940-1979); and Air West/Hughes Airwest (1968-1980) and its predecessors, Bonanza Air Lines (ca. 1940s-1968), Southwest Airways (ca. 1940s-1958), Pacific Air Lines (ca. 1958-1968), and West Coast Airlines (ca. 1940s-1968).

Street railway research files, 1881-1996

Research notes, background information, compilations of statistical and financial data, and other material pertaining to the Twin City Rapid Transit Company (TCRT) and to more than 25 other street railway systems in Minnesota and adjacent states.

Pan Motor Company records, 1918-1919

Promotional literature, newspaper clippings, financial statements, a stock certificate, and other materials relating to a St. Cloud, Minnesota-based automobile manufacturing company and its founder, Samuel C. Pandolfo.

Soo Line Railroad Company records, 1855-1994

Records of Minneapolis-based Soo Line Railroad Company, a grain and timber products carrier serving the upper Midwest and providing U.S. connections for the Canadian Pacific Railway.

Twin City Rapid Transit [TCRT] records, 1872-2001

Records of the company (and its subsidiaries and successors) that operated the streetcar and local bus system in the Minneapolis-St. Paul metropolitan area from 1891 until 1970.

Luverne Automobile Company records, 1910-1917

Includes correspondence, job sheets, a production summary list, and a contract associated with a Luverne (Minn.) automobile manufacturer.

Helen J. Richardson papers, 1989

A photocopied typescript reminiscence (1989), a letter (June 15, 1989), a photocopied reunion booklet, and a photocopied newspaper article that recount the experiences (1939-1942) of the third stewardess hired by Northwest Airlines.
