Exhibit looks at music businesses in Minnesota
Artifacts from the Young at Heart Record Store in Duluth are on display in the Sounds Good to Me:
Music in Minnesota exhibit at the History Center in St. Paul. From 1956 to 1997, Richard
Wozniak ran the record store for "the young and the young at heart." Named after a Frank Sinatra
hit, the store was a haven for record collectors and a labor of love for Wozniak. Decorated in pink
and red, the store had hand-painted signs, rose motifs at every turn, and thousands of 45s sorted
into hand-decorated boxes.
