Anna Ramsey's didn't like the winter in St. Paul. She wrote this to her husband,

". . . Oh, Alex, could thee be here and know how we suffer with cold thee would never want to winter again in St. P[aul]."

At a Glance

One of the nation's best preserved Victorian-era homes, St. Paul's Ramsey House offers a glimpse into family and servant life in the 1870s. Make a call on Anna Ramsey, wife of the first territorial governor. Guides dressed as her servants may surprise you with fresh cookies.
