Photo of Logging camp crew posed for the photographer in a sleepcamp.

Note the differing ages of the lumberjacks; crews were comprised of men from young teens to older "jacks". Photo by William F. Roleff. Roleff was a barber from Two Harbors who traveled to logging camps and photographed as a hobby in the early 1900s. His photos are remarkable for their composition and clarity and have become valuable assets in researching logging camp life. MHS Collections - Location no. HD5.7 p62, Negative no. 9067.
