The Friends of the James J. Hill House is an organization committed to preserving the Hill House and keeping it open to the public as a cultural and educational treasure.

Recognizing the site’s architectural significance – and James J. Hill’s impact on the transportation and economic history of the United States – individuals and corporations have come together to provide funding for conservation and restoration projects, special programs, audience development, and general site operations.

Benefits extend one year from date of enrollment. Please allow 2-4 weeks for processing. Membership includes a one-year household membership in the Minnesota Historical Society. Memberships under $1,000 are tax deductible except for $20 (Minnesota History magazine subscription price). Gifts of $1,000 or more are fully tax deductible. Memberships at $250 and above are recognized in the Society’s Annual Report.
