Lindbergh Payments for Plane

On February 25, 1927, Lindbergh and the owners of Ryan Airlines agreed on a price for the plane he would attempt to fly from New York to Paris. With engine and instruments, the total came to $10,580. Lindbergh made a down payment of $1,000. He made a second payment of $6,580 a few days later and paid the balance on April 28, the date of his first test flight in the soon-to-be historic plane. These are canceled checks to Ryan Airlines, signed by Charles Lindbergh.
