Visit the Minnesota state capitol
General Tours
Visitors hear stories about the capitol's history, art and architecture. They see the chambers where government decisions are made and, weather permitting, walk to the quadriga (golden horses) on the roof of the capitol.
Tours leave on the hour. Groups of 10 or more need reservations two weeks in advance.
Fee: Hourly guided tours are free with a suggested donation of $5 per person.

There are few buildings in the state as beautiful as the Minnesota State Capitol! See the soaring domes, the awe-inspiring rotunda, the historic chambers where state government is conducted, and enjoy the history and art of the capitol. Youth group leaders and classroom teachers should call for more information. Groups need reservations 2 weeks in advance.
Adult Group Tours
Organized adult groups and motor coach groups can choose topics from a variety of tours. During the legislative session they may combine a tour with lunch in the restored rathskeller. For adult tours with an admission fee, a non-refundable partial pre-payment is required with a minimum group fee of $135. Groups need reservations 2 weeks in advance.
