The Oliver Kelley Farm and the Minnesota Historical Society invite you to
share a part of Minnesota's agricultural past and tour this National
Historic Landmark.
You'll see a part of farming the way it was 150 years ago and may share in
the work and life of early Minnesota farm families.
To fully experience the farm, come to Elk River and help put up hay, churn
butter, dig potatoes and farm the way Oliver Kelley and his family did in the
Civil War era. Smell fresh bread baking in the wood stove, feel the
ox-drawn plow turn over the soil or hear the creak of leather and the
jingle of the harness on the draft horses as they pull a wagon through the
fields.
Learn about Minnesota's agricultural past and Oliver Kelley's Grange, from
the costumed living history guides working the farm. Experience the past-today
at the Oliver Kelley Farm.
