Outbuildings

Two photos of the outbuildings

A farmstead and farm buildings are planned and built in a convenient and efficient manner for the farmer to accomplish his farm work. Structures for livestock are arranged around a central barnyard or pasture and buildings for crop storage are located near the animals. Livestock sheds are often located as far from the farmhouse as is practicable to decrease odors. Sheds for storing tools and implements are located closest to the farmhouse for ease of access.
