Terminal Woodland - The Bow and Arrow
Projectile points small enough to be effectively used with a bow first appeared in Minnesota in the Terminal Woodland period around AD 500 and, like pottery one thousand years earlier, spread rapidly across the state. Only two arrow points are among the stone tools from East Terrace. Both are also from the upper soil zone. One is similar to a widespread Terminal Woodland type called Klunk or Madison. The other is commonly found throughout Minnesota, but does not have a specific name.
