History Center Field Trips
Two field trip packages are available to help your students explore the museum, sharpen their historical skills, and dig deeper into specific historical topics. Choose the package that best meets your field trip needs.
Grainland Policy and Scheduling Change
As of August 20th, 2008 Grainland is scheduled on a first come first served basis during the field trip booking process. K through 6th grade groups will be given the option of scheduling Grainland time(s) when booking their group’s visit until a particular day is full. No Grainland times will be added the day of a group’s visit.
Museum Package
Select from three different activities developed to engage your students in an active learning experience as they explore the History
Center’s museum exhibits.
Allow 1 to 2 hours for this program package.
Fee: $5 per student
*Member discounts do not apply to field trips.
Museum-Plus Package
The Museum-Plus Package includes both a visit to the History
Center’s museum exhibits, using one of the activities from the Museum Package, and a 50-minute classroom History Lesson. History Lessons examine specific historical topics and bring students in contact with the real stuff of history – documents, photos, objects, and more.
Allow 2 to 3 hours for this program package.
Fee: $7 per student
