Museum Assessment Program

Strengthen your museum and add ammunition to your next grant proposal by participating in the Museum Assessment Program. These are free to organizations with less than $125,000 in budget, and require modest match for those above. Applications accepted on a rolling basis through November 30, 2009.

CAP GRANTS AVAILABLE

Sustaining Cultural Heritage Collections

Division of Preservation and Access at the National Endowment for the Humanities announces a new preventive conservation grants program, Sustaining Cultural Heritage Collections. Two categories are offered: planning and evaluation grants and implementation grants. Deadline: December 8, 2009. Guidelines to be posted September 2009. AASLH Internship Grant Program

American Association for State and Local History offers their Alderson Internship Grant program to three member organizations to hire summer interns at their own institutions. Get more information and apply online. Deadline: December 9, 2009, 5 p.m.

Kresge Foundation offers challenge grants to support environmental construction and renovation of nonprofit and government-owned buildings.

FELLOWSHIP FOR WEBINAR SERIES

Small Museum Administrators Committee of AAM offers one $25 fellowship for each of the 2009 AAM Museum Essentials webinar series. Fellowships also good for on-demand version of previous webinars. Submit online application.

GoogleGrants AdWords

Designed for non-profit organizations, the GoogleGrants AdWords program awards advertising on the Google.com site. GoogleGrant recipients use their award of free AdWords advertising on Google.com to raise awareness and increase traffic. Each organization awarded a grant receives at least three months of in-kind advertising. Deadline: Ongoing.
