  1. Kids age 14 and under are eligible to play.
  2. Visit six of the 20 participating MNHS historic sites and museums listed here between June 1 – August 31, 2016.
  3. Present a History Hound Passport at each site you visit and receive an official History Hound stamp.
  4. Visit six different sites and collect six different stamps.
  5. Bring a completed Passport to one of the 12 MNHS prize distribution sites to collect your plush toy.*
  6. All passports must be submitted by August 31, 2016.

Official Rules

Kids age 14 and under are eligible to participate in this promotion.

Kids age 14 and under are invited to visit six out of the following 20 participating Minnesota Historical Society (MNHS) sites and museums between June 1 and August 31, 2016. Participating sites and museums include:

    Sibley Historic Site
    North West Company Fur Post
    Oliver Kelley Farm
    Folsom House
    Split Rock Lighthouse
    Historic Forestville
    W.W. Mayo House
    Traverse des Sioux
    Harkin Store
    Fort Ridgely
    Lower Sioux Agency
    Jeffers Petroglyphs
    Charles A. Lindbergh Historic Site
    Mille Lacs Indian Museum and Trading Post
    Forest History Center
    Comstock House

Participants must present a “Passport to Summer Fun” passport/game card at each participating site/museum they visit. Staff will place a stamp on the passport upon admission indicating the visitor’s attendance. (Passports are available through mailings, on location at select MNHS sites and museums, and through special event distribution.)

Participants who visit and collect stamps at a minimum of six sites/museums can then redeem their completed passport for a History Hound plush toy at one of 12 designated prize redemption sites. Completed passport must be redeemed on or before August 31, 2016, by 5 pm (or by closing time of the prize redemption site). Offer is good while supplies last. Prizes are based on availability. Prize retail value is $10.95. Prize is not refundable, exchangeable or redeemable for cash. 

Prize redemption sites: Mill City Museum, Minnesota History Center, James J. Hill House, Historic Fort Snelling, North West Company Fur Post, Oliver Kelley Farm, Split Rock Lighthouse, Historic Forestville, Jeffers Petroglyphs, Charles A. Lindbergh Historic Site, Mille Lacs Indian Museum and Trading Post, and Forest History Center.  

Each participant is allowed one passport and one prize upon completion of the promotion.

MNHS employee family members who are age 14 and under are eligible to participate in the program.

Participants may purchase admission at each venue or they may purchase an MNHS membership to receive free regular admission to all sites. Coupons or admission vouchers also apply. The promotion tracks attendance, not admission fees.

Names and addresses of participants gathered through this promotion may be used to send information on future promotions and events from the Minnesota Historical Society. 

The Minnesota Historical Society reserves the right to cancel, amend and/or revoke this promotion due to printing errors or other mistakes.
