Dear Sir:
I have not written before. I wanted to see how things went first.
I’ve been working on the farm. And I would rather be at home with Mother. She is alone and would like to have me at home with her at nights.
She wishes me to work in town so I can

be home with her at nights.
My wages are small. If I could get more or higher wages in town would Mr Vasaly kindly permit me to work in town.
I would like to get some king of work were (sic) I could learn something. I also wish to take a course at night school. I cannot do that at the place I am now at.

I have a poor education and I know I need it. Mr. Vasaly please consider, and give me a permit to change work
