BUILDING
DULUTH, MINN.
March 15th, 1921.
To The Board of Pardons
of
The State of Minnesota
St. Paul,
Minnesota.
Gentlemen:
Believing that a mistake may have been made in
connection with the sentence of Gilbert H. Stephenson, lately taken to
Stillwater for a term of five years, I wish to urge upon the Board that careful
consideration be given to his case. There was a distinct doubt in the mind of at
least one of the important witnesses who failed to recognize the defendant at
the time of the trial. It seems to me that there is reasonable doubt of his
guilt and careful consideration of this case will be
appreciated.
Yours truly,
BNW:S Bert N. Wheeler
