Introduction

Marine Mill is the site of Minnesota’s first commercial sawmill, built in 1839 by the Marine Lumber Company. A wooded walking trail and overlook guide visitors to the historic sawmill ruins along the St. Croix River. The site is open daily from dawn until dusk. It is located on Judd St. off state Highway 95, 11 miles north of Stillwater. Marine Mill Park is managed by the City of Marine on St. Croix.
