MEDIA ALERT: Minnesota History Center to Welcome Back Visitors Jan. 14
The Minnesota History Center reopens to the public on Jan. 14, 2021. Timed entry tickets will be available beginning Jan. 7 online or through the box office at 651-259-3015. A limited number of tickets will be available for walk-ups. Tickets cost $8-12. Members are free. Hours are Thursday through Saturday, 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.; Sun 11 a.m. to 4 p.m.
Visitors will once again be able to explore the exhibits Then Now Wow, Weather Permitting, Minnesota’s Greatest Generation and Our Home: Native Minnesota. Guests can shop for unique artisan-crafted jewelry, clothing, books, toys and more from the History Center store. Food service is temporarily limited to vending machines.
The Gale Family Library will welcome back on-site researchers starting Jan. 22, 2021. Researchers should contact the library starting Jan. 12 to make arrangements. Look for more information at mnhs.org/library.
Trading Post at Mille Lacs Indian Museum:
The trading post at Mille Lacs Indian Museum will reopen to on-site shopping beginning Jan. 14, 2021. The trading post features unique one-of-a-kind items, many locally made by Native artisans. Hours are Wednesday through Saturday, 10:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. The Mille Lacs Indian Museum will remain closed for the season. Visit www.mnhs.org/millelacs.
Split Rock Lighthouse:
The grounds at Split Rock Lighthouse will reopen to visitors, and access to the visitor center, including the museum store, will be available beginning Jan. 14, 2021. Hours are Thursday through Monday, 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Visit www.mnhs.org/splitrock.
