MEDIA ALERT: Split Rock Lighthouse Expands Access to Lighthouse, Tickets on Sale Today

Beginning May 28 visitors can go inside the historic lighthouse with general admission of $8 to $12. With the state’s recent loosening of social distancing guidelines, MNHS is able to open up the lighthouse to even more visitors. The general admission ticket is a self-guided experience.

Visitors not wanting to go inside the lighthouse can purchase a Grounds Pass for $8 which provides access to the grounds, visitor center, and fog signal building through a self-guided experience.

For those wanting a guided experience, the Keeper’s Tour will be offered twice a day. The first tour is at 9 a.m., one hour before the site opens, and the second tour begins at 5 p.m. The Keeper’s Tour costs $25.

Tickets for all three admission categories are available online or by calling the box office at 651-259-3015. Limited tickets will be available for walk-up.
