Six people standing outside of the Gust Akerlund Studio inspecting the exterior

Last week, staff from MNHS Grants Office and Local History Services toured the National Register-listed Gust Akerlund Photography Studio in Cokato, constructed in the 1890s, moved to this location in 1906, with 1920 and 1935 additions. A Legacy grant to the City of Cokato is providing for rehabilitation of the north studio window as well as masonry, wall, and structural repair.
