Internships

Are you interested in history? Museums? Non-profits? Check out the Minnesota Historical Society's internships and other student programs. We have options for both high school and college level students.

Students interested in gaining professional experience in a public museum environment have a unique opportunity to work directly with museum professionals and participate in structured opportunities to learn more about our work through cohort activities. Students will be able to engage with interns from across the institution and develop a network of museum professionals and other students. All MNHS internships are paid.

At MNHS, we don't just accept difference--we celebrate it, we support it, and we thrive on diversity for the benefit of our volunteers, interns, employees, our products and services, and our community. The Minnesota Historical Society believes that an inclusive culture among our team members is critical to our success as a historical society, and we seek to recruit, develop, and retain the most talented people from a diverse candidate pool. The Minnesota Historical Society is proud to be an equal opportunity workplace.
