The goals of the Collections Department are to collect and preserve; provide access and interpretation; and engage in education and outreach. There are several surprising things about this woman's spring coat. It's made of bark cloth (which is exactly what you'd guess) and dates to between 1920 - 1930, not the 1960s! The coat retailed at J.M. Gidding & Company of Duluth.
