Museum Site Admission

Site admission can be purchased at the ticket/information desk at each historic site on a first- come, first-served basis. Some historic sites are not staffed regularly. Some sites offer self- guided tours and some offer guided tours only. See each historic site website for hours, directions, prices, accessibility, photography policy, and tour offerings.

Group ticket offerings are available for both K-12 school groups and adult groups. Please visit the K-12 field trip website to submit a scheduling request form. For adult group visits to any of the Twin Cities metro historic sites, please contact the adult group scheduling office at GroupTickets@MNHS.org or 651-259-3003. For adult group visits to all non-metro sites contact the site directly via email or phone.

For information about discounted site admission see our History-Connects website. Discounted site admission tickets must be purchased in person for day of admission only.

To purchase presale site admission, go to MNHS.org/visit to find historic site website and click “Get tickets” in the “Admission” section, or call the Box Office at 651-259-3015. Note: Some sites do not offer online ticketing for site admission.

Program and Event Tickets

Online ticket sales for programs and events closes two hours before the event start time. In most cases doors will open at least 30 minutes prior to event start time. Check in at Will Call at the event location.

To purchase program and event tickets online go to MNHS.org/calendar or call the Box Office at 651-259-3015.

Getting Your Tickets

Your Print at Home PDF ticket(s) will be emailed to you separately (No Print at Home tickets will be emailed for education workshop programs; information will be emailed to participants closer to the program's start date). No paper tickets will be mailed. This electronic ticket serves as your admission to the event.

Present your printed or electronic ticket at the Will Call location.  If there are multiple tickets on your order, each person must present a separate ticket for admission. Do not attempt to duplicate, alter, or sell this ticket. A door list may be used to verify your purchase.

Cancellations, Exchanges, and Refunds

No refunds for cancellations, except for day camps (if requested up to 3 weeks prior to start date) and education workshops (if requested up to 24 hours before start time).

Ticket exchanges and camp refunds will be charged a 20% processing fee. Ticket exchanges must be for a future date within the same program series, at the same historic site, and must be exchanged prior to the start of the program.

MNHS reserves the right to cancel an event due to severe weather, extreme circumstances, and/or low enrollment. In such cases, MNHS will make every effort to contact ticket holders through online postings and/or phone or email. Compensation will be arranged as quickly as possible. In the case of a day camp cancellation, you will be contacted at least 60 days prior to start date.
