Explore locations throughout the building that show the work and methods that went into creating the Minnesota State Capitol, and learn about the people involved when it was first built in 1905. Learn about architect Cass Gilbert, who at age 35 created one of the most magnificent public buildings in the nation.

Dig deeper into how the building was built by hearing about the roles contractors, politicians, and workers played during the nine-year construction period. Then explore the recent restoration completed in 2017 of the over 100-year-old building.
