Join historian Mark Haidet to learn about the Minnesota State Fair’s role in mobilizing the Minnesota home front during World War I. From the Fair’s national leadership in the campaign to “Win the War with Food,” to large war exhibits, military pageants, and Grandstand shows depicting major battles, discover the fascinating history of Minnesota’s beloved State Fair during this challenging period.

Forgotten Stories is a new series that brings together nationally known historians to explore forgotten WW1-era stories of the individuals and organizations who made modern America. Look for additional lectures offered each month through November.

This program is made possible by the Fred C. and Katherine B. Andersen Foundation.
