St. Paul, MN 55102
In 1917 and 1924, nativism and economic anxiety fueled the passage of laws to broadly restrict immigration on the basis of race, religion, sexuality and education. Join a small group dialogue to explore the history of our first era of immigration restriction and exchange ideas about what you think it means to be "a nation of immigrants" today.
Through Crucial Conversations, participants talk about the history that matters now. Dialogues are facilitated by staff members trained by the International Coalition of Sites of Conscience.
This program is offered at 10 am and 1 pm.
