NDSU graduate student Chelsea Olmsted will discuss her research on the agricultural history of Clay County. She will discuss how the railroads affected agriculture, share early mechanical innovations, and show how science helped advance farming in the early 20th century. Throughout her presentation, she will use photographs from the Historical and Cultural Society of Clay County's Flaten-Wange collection to illustrate the discussion.

After the lecture, guests are welcome to mingle and enjoy refreshments from Moorhead's Rustica Eatery & Tavern while exploring one of the area's most historic homes.
