Have a drink with friends while learning about Minnesota history in the beautiful setting of the Sibley Historic Site. A new topic will be offered each month.
In August, attendees can learn about Mendota as a hub of French-Canadian culture prior to the creation of Minnesota Territory in 1849. Mark Labine of the French-American Heritage Foundation of Minnesota will discuss French-Canadian influence on the region and their settlement in St. Paul and Mendota.
Doors open at 5:30 pm, and the presentation begins at 6 pm. Light food and one drink ticket will be provided with each paid admission for ages 21 and up. This program is presented by the Dakota County Historical Society.
