Veterans' Storytelling

Sat., Jul 21, 2018, 11:00 am - Noon
200 Tower Ave.
St. Paul, MN 55111
Free, historic fort admission not included

Hear the stories of five Minnesota veterans as they share experiences of their service at this storytelling event in the Historic Fort Snelling visitor center. Over the course of an hour each of the veterans will tell well-crafted stories about their experiences serving their country, returning to civilian life, and the challenges that different communities of veterans face today.

In addition, visit the "I Am Not Invisible" portrait exhibit which features 33 Minnesota women veterans who have served our nation. The exhibit is part of an awareness campaign designed to honor the service and sacrifice of women veterans and to show them that they are respected and supported. That they are not invisible. This exhibit will be on display in the visitor center and the historic fort through Friday, August 3.

The Veterans' Storytelling program is a partnership of the Women's Veterans Initiative and the Minnesota Humanities Center. The “I Am Not Invisible” exhibit is a collaborative project led by Ars Bellum Foundation, Women Veterans Initiative, 23rd Veteran, Minnesota VFW Charitable Association, and the Minnesota Department of Veterans Affairs.
