What Do You See? with Wing Young Huie

Wed., Oct 24, 2018, 7:00 pm - 9:00 pm
Third Place Gallery
3730 Chicago Ave. S., Studio B
Minneapolis, MN 55407

Photographer Wing Young Huie asks the question, "How does my Chinese-ness collide with my Minnesota-ness and my American-ness? And who get to define those hyphenated abstract nouns?"

In this "What Do You See?" gathering, Huie provides an opportunity for visitors to examine his photographs and participate in a discussion with him about how images shape our point of view. Plus, enjoy light food and drinks. Come share your Chinese-ness or identity story!

This program is suitable for adults.

This program is presented in conjunction with Wing Young Huie's photography exhibit "Chinese-ness: The Meaning of Identity and the Nature of Belonging" at the Minnesota History Center from Sept. 11-Nov. 11, 2018.
