Make a miniature Ojibwe birch bark canoe, an original mode of transportation for Minnesota's vast rivers and lakes.

Allow an hour to make the craft. Recommended for ages 8 and up. Craft supplies provided by the Minnesota Humanities Center.

Guests are encouraged to explore the new interactive exhibit We Are Water MN, on view in the visitor center.

"We Are Water MN" is led by the Minnesota Humanities Center in partnership with the Minnesota Pollution Control Agency, the Minnesota Historical Society, the Minnesota Departments of Agriculture, Health, and Natural Resources.

"We Are Water MN" is funded in part by the National Endowment for the Humanities and with money from the Arts and Cultural Heritage Fund that was created with the vote of the people of Minnesota on November 4, 2008.
