St. Paul, MN 55102
This summer Bands on the Boulevard features local acts from the First Avenue scene. On July 23, Lena Elizabeth takes to the stage.
Based in Minneapolis, Lena Elizabeth writes songs influenced by folk storytelling with a voice rooted in the blues. The youngest in a household full of musicians, she succeeds in blending old and new influences to create a pop/roots sound that is approachable across generations. Lena Elizabeth released her first full-length album, "Get It Right," in November 2018.
During Bands on the Boulevard, enjoy a free outdoor concert every Tuesday night in July in the History Center courtyard. Bring a lawn chair and pack a picnic or purchase food from Market House by D'Amico. Come early and take advantage of free admission to the exhibit First Avenue: Stories of Minnesota's Mainroom from 3 to 9 pm.
Bands on the Boulevard is presented by Xcel Energy. The First Avenue exhibit is made possible in part by presenting sponsor, Baird, and media partner, The Current.
