This summer Bands on the Boulevard features local acts from the First Avenue scene. On July 23, Lena Elizabeth takes to the stage.
Based in Minneapolis, Lena Elizabeth writes songs influenced by folk storytelling with a voice rooted in the blues. The youngest in a household full of musicians, she succeeds in blending old and new influences to create a pop/roots sound that is approachable across generations. Lena Elizabeth released her first full-length album, Get It Right, in November 2018.
During Bands on the Boulevard, enjoy a free outdoor concert every Tuesday night in July in the History Center courtyard. Bring a lawn chair and pack a picnic or purchase food from Market House by D'Amico.
Take advantage of free admission to the exhibit First Avenue: Stories of Minnesota's Mainroom by coming early or staying late during Tuesday free hours from 3-9 pm. The History Center will stay open an extra hour til 9 pm during Bands on the Boulevard.

Note: Outside alcohol is not allowed. In the case of bad weather, a concert will be cancelled by 1 pm the day of.
