Data Warehouses

Introduction
Data warehouses have been at the forefront of information technology applications as a way for organizations to effectively use digital information for business planning and decision making. Their critical reliance on metadata and documentation make them an attractive means for preserving digital information for the long term. For that reason, the Minnesota State Archives has an interest in exploring the implications and possibilities for data warehousing technology.
