Join horse trainer Jessica Aspenwall as she shares tips for confidence on the trail.
Learn why teaching your equine partner to flex and leg cues is important. By doing some “fancy training” you can save your knees from the trees, take the trail less traveled, guide around the itch weed, pick an apple, and just have a smoother ride in general.
Jessica trains horses with a focus on all-around performance. After gaining an Equine Science degree from the University of Wisconsin-River Falls she found herself training for a couple different barns in southeast Minnesota. With experience teaching mules and horses, she has been exposed to a lot of equine personalities.
To keep things fresh, you may find Jessica competing in the local All-Around Cowgirl Challenge, a barrel race, roping cattle or along the trail! A good trainer is continually learning and improving their techniques. A variety of objects and obstacles is something that comes in handy when training trail partners and you may see some those in use in our three-part Trail Tips with Jess.
Private lessons with Jess are available, please ask for details following her free presentation.
